hi I have a axminster belt and disc sander that I am trying to link to my extractor I have made o box around part of it to help with dust removal I would like to take the disc of so I can improve the size of pipe to that but not sure what holds it on I have cleaned disc of but cannot make out what is in the hole is it allen key or torx or some thing else

Hi pip

If it's the AWEBDS610, I bought one in the sale a few weeks ago and I'm pretty sure there was a stud in the centre of the disk which probably locks it on to the spindle. I've stuck the sanding disk on and don't want to wreck it by taking it back off to look.

Why don't you give Axi a ring. I'm sure someone will be able to help.

If in doubt, part of what makes Axminster so popular is their outstanding customer service, give them a call and I'm sure someone there will help you out. It's even a "normal" phone number, so probably inclusive to your mobile phone contract :)
