I got this set of Avery Potato scales the other day for the high price of:
£5
I done a bit research into them.
If I was to re paint etc their value would not be worth that much. But by keeping them in original paint, as much as possible the value would be better.
More so if I had the full set of Avery weights.
The rust was bad on the working faces.
The old grease and dirt was solid and affecting the working parts.
Don't mix theses bits up, as they are factory tuned to suit that particular location.
The dishwasher had them cleaned.
No I was joking it was hand washed.
Not bad finish, lots of work, but fun.
Being assembles, as I went along a hard bee's wax finish was applied. This wax is from local hives. This set was in a Apple wood.
Almost perfect.
Even got some Avery weights as well.
