Its all good work Johnny ... and good to try things out.
I love the contrast of the ebonising against the ash -- and also completely understand the 'practice' with a certain tool too.
So , 'Love or loathe' the finials, its good to experiment.
The vessels themselves are great - I'm not sure about the finials... Once you've shown an alternative, it may be easier to decide on whats the best... but for the short time at it, the progress continues to astound !
