Yes been today. Similar to last year. A couple of "bigger" people there. Axminster and Felder. Also other independents with Festool, Bostich, Bessey. Quite a lot of woodturning. Demonstrations ( Chris Tribe). A couple of stands with lots of bargain bits of consumable stuff. British Hardwoods. Worth going to and lots of people to ask questions.Some bargains too.

I was there today. I thought it was bigger, better and busier than last year.

I was there today for around 3 hours and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought it very similar to last year and it was pretty busy when we arrived at 11am
Spent a bit but not too much though I was seriously tempted by the mini lathe on the Jet stand :mrgreen:
For anyone coming in off the A1 / A59 there is a stretch of roadworks which was very slow.

I have just got back. It was my first time! Had a nice chat with Peter Sefton (what a nice and knowledgeable guy), spotted Paul Sellers eating lunch thought it was rude to interrupt and then couldn't find him for a chat, stood and watched Chris Tribe doing some very nice veneering and had a chat with the classic hand tool guys. Nick Gibbs of British Woodworking magazine made my son a flying "thing" (technical term). Overall worth £10 of anyone's money! I will be going next year but it seems its aimed more at turners that furniture makers general woodworkers, but still a few hours well spent. Could have spent a fortune on Lie Nielsen though.

It doesn't seem as busy as last year. I also noticed that Hammer/Felder and Axminster are new arrivals. British Hardwoods, just across from me seemed to be doing a roaring trade. I haven't seen much more as I've been demonstrating all day. I made 200 of my magnetic clamp heads (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8n63JswyX8) as give away's and they had all gone by Saturday lunch time.

I was there on Saturday for the first time in about 15 years and I really enjoyed it. I took my shopping list and got everything I wanted at cheaper prices that I could find elsewhere. I would have preferred more routing than turining but nonetheless what I did see was interesting, Peter Sefton's plane demos were good as was another chaps about sharpening, I can't remember who it was, perhaps on the Classic Hand Tools stand. I appreciated the opportunity to have a look at all the machinery since without a car I can't really get to many showrooms - even if I knew of any round here.
Pedestrian access was poor, after alighting the bus on Wetherby road I seemed to have to walk right round the ground following the road to get to the show. No cut through was sign posted.

I was there on Saturday and found it great, the demonstrations were good
I spoke to Peter Sefton whilst he was demonstrating a number of tools, great bloke with lots of knolage.
I spent a small fortune at classic hand tools, the very well priced vertas goodies were hard to resist !!!

We had a great weekend caught up with Nick Gibbs, Andy King and Mark Baker. I offered a guy a chance to win one of our Pear handled Dovetail saws, Mr Styles from Axminster politely declined the chance
It was good to catch up with some of the forum members and past students, Garry was snowed under on the tool shop with lots of interest in the Incra kit. We do still have some left for our own tool show next Saturday if any body is coming along. We have just finished putting all our kit away and I am about ready for bed after a busy but enjoyable show. Looking forward to the new 'Midlands' show at the Newark Showground, Notts next year on the 28th and 29th March.
