Any idea of age from Crown marking?

I have a table what looks like made out of some kind of mahogany. There is branding G VI R under Crown. Any idea how old this could be? Thank you.

George the 6 Rex is probably what it stands for. He reigned from 1936 after abdication of his brother Edward (known as Duke of Winsdor thereafter) until 1952 when his daughter Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II took over the firm and family business
