I have an FM/AM tuner/amplifier in the workshop and have been looking out for a cheap way to add digital radio to it.
A stand-alone DAB capable Hi-Fi tuner would fit the bill but they are generally too big and expensive.
The Majority Robinson could be the answer (with the bonus of Bluetooth) but there doesn’t appear to be any stock anywhere so I am considering one of the DAB adapters designed for in-car use. There seems to be quite a few around the £50 mark that run off a USB supply (ideal as the 12v car power lead can be swapped for a standard 240v USB charger) plus have aux-out as well as able to transmit the DAB signal as FM.
As an example….

@phil p, one of these may meet your requirement with the option of connecting it to your RCA inputs or using the FM transmit capability.

Has anyone tried one? Are they any good?
If not, I might need to take one for the team and buy one. 😅
That’s interesting however like you say, will it work though?
My T.V. does have USB ports so I think that could power it?
On a side note I emailed Majority on Saturday and they have halted the production of the Robinson for some reason, they looked really good aswell, small and compact.

Thanks for the info regarding the Majority Robinson. Don’t suppose they indicated how temporary the halt In production is likely to be?

It didn’t sound good. They didn’t know whether they would be back in stock and had been paused for production.
I even checked eBay/Gumtree and there was nothing to be found.

Thanks for that.
I’ve pulled the trigger and bought one of the units I linked to earlier. Paid just over £30 from a popular auction site. I’ll keep you posted.

Thanks, I’m interested in how that works out for you. Hope it works.
