They can be useful if it's in working condition and has a set of cutting irons.
Does the same job as a Stanley 45 or 50 just a tad more of a fiddle to set up.
Plenty online info on them and how to get them working.

Hi James,
It’s missing its side wedges, which you can fabricate, commonly were boxwood. The depth adjuster screw looks like a replacement, would have originally have had a heavy brass thumb screw. The diamond plates on the arms also appear strange, threads should be peined flush to the brass plates. All that suggests it’s had running repairs over the years, so at the very least it’s been a valued plane by previous owners.
Commonly, the cutters and planes were not made by the same manufacturers, plane makers generally stamp marked them on the toe or heel, but many weren’t either, especially if sold through one of the large tool factors, who often marked them themselves. I’ve restored a couple into working condition, once to see if I could, an once on a particularly nice one with ornate boxwood screws.
