Another reason not to go back to F&C I see... I dropped them for budgetary reasons whilst house building, however the attitude and immaturity we're hearing about means it's unlikely I'll want to go back to them anytime soon... And they could have come out smelling of roses!

What? No more Fish & Chips!

Ah, well, I can't get that here anyway... and now you've made me hungry!

Is it just me or do all chip shops seem to claim some award or another?

It is hard to beat a good one though. Nice bit of cod or haddock, chips, salt and a splash of vinegar. Curry sauce nice but optional!

So no other comment on fc regarding Nick Gibbs email?

I think it's a bit disgusting personally...

Fish and chips on the other hand are not!

We don't know the other side of the story, so it is difficult to comment really.

I haven't heard any side of any story - Anyone in enlightening mood? :?

(Though Phil, on culinary views, I think you need some educating on the many amazing and varied flavours of cuisine that are lumped together as 'curry' )

Is it this ???

nick-gibbs-t81699-60.html

Basically Nick does a yearly show guide and GMC the publishers of Fish and Chips monthly will no longer put the guide into the magazine.

Might just be a new broom at the top who refuses in any way shape or form to advertise competing magazines.

Taking note of the amount of trouble a baking show can cause when discussed on the internet, I suggest least said soonest mended may be the mature way.

I've tried dozens at one time or another and I admit I've come across a couple I could eat were I starving, but sorry they are are pretty universally vile. :D I start with a disadvantage - I detest caraway, coriander, cumin and standard curry powder. I do try!
