Hi, Wiser

I mean move the rear rail back to give you enough room to fit the router table, does the fence clamp at the back as well?.

Pete

yes I got your drift Pete. No, the fence does not use the back rails at all which has only just dawned on me.

So I can just remove it, I think.

Hmm... I'd be surprised if it was there for no reason. It's unusual for manufacturers to include any unnecessaries at the budget end of the market.
Isn't it there to hold the back edges of the tables level?

Still don't think you should discount it, you could fit blanking panel on saw table side and fit rear rail to both that and router table?
1 other thought, have it on folding brackets so it hangs down when not in use and pops up when you need it.
Cheers

I could fit it on the left somehow. I don't intend on using the sliding table. But that kinda defeats the point in getting the TS-200 which was to be space efficient.

Well I just went out there and I can't work out any reason for the back rail other than to hold the original pressed steel extension table?

So I took it off...

Am I missing something?

If not then I can just design the cabinet around fitting the CI Router table top.

Without that back rail how will you hold the router table top up?

Just a thought.
