Me again with another WTF if this item.

I have been tempted to cut a pizza with it but reckon perforations aren't that necessary and also my pizza bases aren't tough enough to require a two handed grip.

So... What did I get in this box of goodies from the auction?

It was one of my initial thoughts but they are generally pricking wheels aren't they? This wouldn't so much trace something but cut it out!

It looks like a stitch marker for leather.
It produces indents in the leather for the thread to lie in to keep thread below leather surface. The gaps show where the hole location needs to be punched through with an awl.

But just a guess!

I'm with Sachakins on this one. The two handles imply that you put pressure on the fixed handle and use the hinged one for pushing and controlling the wheel.
On the other hand, leather indents are usually.. sharper/further apart and just have one handle.

The angle just before the wheel seems consistent with vintage and modern tracing wheels, It's just that this one is monstrously huge.

As far as I can see it's a bookbinders embossing wheel.
Never seen an extra handle before.

Why do they emboss bookbinders? Surely it would hurt.

Agree though, something for decorating leatherwork, books, bags, belts, horse-garb...

I agree it's something leathery however the edge is sharp even in it pitted condition I reckon of I leaned on it a bit the teeth would make a row of little incisions.
