Well I opened this months copy of GW and I am in it yet again! This time it is the AWO wardrobes I built a while back. It is ironic that I am also building a set of pine wardrobes at the moment too. I may make a name for myself one day. :D

My wife liked them very much. What did you charge for the job or are you not allowed to say?

Great to see both of you in this issue (...again!).

Dom - I bet you never want to look at a drill again, after drilling almost five-thousand holes!! :D It does look great, though.

Cheers Olly. It was one of those moments that seemed like a good idea at the time but I was flagging after 30 minutes only 400 in and it was only then that I counted how many would be required. That said it looks good and works well so despite the genuine pain, I'd probably do it again.

Ah ! it was your article Dom, very nice too. I am afraid I cheated when I built a computer desk and went for routed slots instead.

I'll certainly consider it next time. Maybe I could have routed in a decorative pattern which may have looked ok but would have been faster. I guess that's the advantage of not being a pro, if it takes an extra 4 hours then that's fine.

Maybe once this issue is superceeded I'll post some but in lieu of that I'd urge you to buy the mag or at least take a sneeky peek at it in Smiths. I think this is one of the best issues for some time and that's not just because I'm in it. There's a great article on a pair of fabulous bedside tables by Grieg Fensome; truly superb showing some good veneering techniques too. There's something slighty different about this issue that I can't quite put my finger on. It's all the same faces on the inside cover with regards to staff. Maybe it's a slightly different layout or the fact that there seems to be a lot in this issue; layout as in the order of projects or ratio of articles versus advertisments rather than a change of font, that's all the same. :-k

Cheers

232, it came out on Friday. It's been a busy week for me. I was on Watchdog on Thursday night too. TV one day, magazine the next.
