We all know that Aldi stuff and its limitations

One product I haven't seen mentioned is their masonry paint

Anyone used it? is it any good

A lot of Aldi retailed stuff is fine, although within aforementioned limitations but don't want to waste time on having to do something twice

I wouldn't bother.

I'd buy the very best masonry paint you can afford - its not a lot dearer

I hear what you are saying, but what if this *is* the best I can afford ;-)

Dulux = 10l for £30

Sandtex = 5l £29

I think Aldi's is 5l for £6.50

So I guess its not likely to be to great for that price

Bite the bullet - Dulux Weathershield oil based. Brilliant stuff, it can pee down 15mins. after you've put it on and it'll be fine. Put any unused stuff away upside down and it'll keep for years - I used some two years ago that I've had since 2002.

Thankfully its just a back wall and only about 6ft or so high, I was contemplating whether to also paint the stone side and rear walls which surround a small yard, neither very large, but suspect I am making a rod for my own back in doing so
