Still use the one I got last time the forum discussed this bandsaw and there were LOTS of issues re delivery and damaged units - as this thread doesn't mention that issue im not sure how long ive had mine... definitely not as long as this thread befo5re-opening it! Anyway... Has limitations but it depends what you are thinking of using it on.
Dust extraction is poor (on mine), cut better after changing to Tuff bandsaw blades. Able to resaw some softwood for thi ner boards, ab.e to cut thin strips for veneers. Just need to work at the pace the machine cuts at - push to much and the blade became displaced and had to be set again.

I switched on my ALDI band saw today in the shed after about 3-4 years of hiatus. It powered on OK, and ran smoothly. I cut an apple tree log of about 10cm diameter vertically half length of about 20cm. It cut it no problem very smoothly. I forgot how I did set it up 3-4 year ago, and forgot even how to operate it. Had to scratch my head a few minutes trying this and that, and got it working in most basic manner.

It seems it will keep working well. I am hoping it will keep going forever with just replacement saw blades when needed.
