Advice needed on Euro 260/Kity woodster Bandsaw

Can anyone let me know a reasonable price band for a used Euro 260 Bandsaw? I have been offered one at £150 which seems expensive for such an old saw. How do they compare with modern bench top bandsaws of similar size that come in at the £200 mark?
Anyone out there who has owned one of these saw with fond memories or otherwise? Any advice on a good benchtop bandsaw welcomed.

Seems no one knows much about these.

I think they may be similar to the Kity 413 band-saw. When I was looking for a small band-saw I would have paid £150 for one of those.

In the end I bought an Elu of roughly the same size and paid about £95,

Ultimately they are worth what someone will pay (cliché I know).

I've had a French made Euro 260 for the last 10years + and would pay more than that for a good one. It's never broken a bandsaw blade, will easily tension a 12mm blade and tracks perfectly...no need for any offset on the re-saw fence. I was tempted to sell mine but it's so good I'm going to keep it. If it's of any help, I paid over £400 for it from Axminster in the late nineties - Rob

The only thing to watch out for is that the lower driving wheel sometimes comes loose and slips back along the shaft...you'll know when it happens 'cos it makes a loud 'clonking' noise as the blade rotates. It just needs to be brought forward a tad and then the allen grub screw can be re-tightened to lock it in place. I'd also replace the original 'cool' blocks with some pieces of lignum vitae (self lubricating)
With a new 3tpi 12mm blade it'll re-saw 150mm oak without too much bother, I use a 10mm 6tpi blade for everyday use - Rob

I have a slightly older Swiss-made Inca, I haven't used it that much, but it's certainly a very well made machine. I specifically wanted that model because it has a good depth of cut for a small benchtop bandsaw. I was lucky, I got mine for £50.00 on eBay. I bought three blades from your man at Tuff(add my voice to the grateful choir)..
Spares can be obtained from France, at a cost, but I found standard in-line skate bearings will replace the thrust bearings, and Clas Ohlsen(spelling?) sell a pack of 8 for around £8.00.
I added a vacuum cleaner crevice tool for dust extraction, as my model predates that feature, and I fitted a small polycarbonate window to allow the tension scale to be seen without removing the cover.
I also obtained a couple of orange urethane tyres, but I'm dithering a bit over fitting them. Other owners experiences with the urethane tyres are not unanimously favourable.

All-in-all, I've probably spent so much time and money faffing about with it that I could have bought a brand-new bandsaw, but the man I contacted in France told me that all the brand-new ones are rubbish from China. Well, he would say that, wouldn't he?
