Hi Blister, I use abranet and can wholeheartedly recommend it. It cuts well and lasts for ages. Being open textured the sawdust falls through it so preventing clogging

Hi,

I've used abranet and have found it very good for my turning work. I particularly like the flexibility for getting into small corners.

I've bought mine from http://www.t-jtools.co.uk/index.htm (the maker of the diamond wheel for tormek's). Not really shopped around for other suppliers.

I believe its used in automotive body shops so they might be a source.

Hi Blister

I've been using it for about a year now and it is great for turnings, particularly on dense timbers like Yew. You don't get the heat build up because of the open mesh, it's very efficient and long lasting - I've only just re-stocked after using the samples sent to me and there is a good range of grits available. It's comes from Finland and the supplier here is Tony Osborne of T & J Tools.

By the way he also has some velcro cloth backed 50mm sanding discs which are a good price and highly recommended for power sanding.

The other product I can recommend is Abralon. I find it great for de-nibbing after air brushing and lacquering.
