A little job I recently finished

Hi all,

New here and thought I’d post a couple of pictures of my last job. English oak with a beeswax finish.
The staircase over three floors was existing and in relatively good condition but had a balustrade retrofitted badly at some point. The customer wanted something fairly modest but in keeping with the rest of the farmhouse. Hopefully the patina will build over the next few years.

Next project is casement windows and an Oriel.

The going/pitch was different on each flight so each section was different which meant several jigs.

Very nice. I'd have used microcrystalline or carnauba though for a harder finish.

I did consider those but the stuff I use is actually a bit of a concoction of four different types of wax with beeswax as the main ingredient.
