A few Christmas presents!

Well, this is my latest crop of items, made for family members for the impending.......Christmas day!! :? I knew I held onto all those offcuts for a reason! :lol:

Anyway, heres a couple of group pics, I'll put up pics of individual pieces after the festivities!

Actually, the one with the three bits of slate you cant see to full effect in these pics, when you look at it front on it resembles to the cliffs of Moher, ie the three slates are stacked behind one another and you cant see the gap between!

I love the 'heart' frame at the back! What's the wood?

I've been meaning to do something that incorporates some chunks of slate a local quarry and some nice wood.

Hi Pren, thanks! The heart frame is made of walnut, I'm assuming, given how dark it is that its a bit of ABW. It came up nice, it got 4 or 5 coats of shellac and then a couple of coats of wax.
