At Men In Sheds we get a range of donations. Some very good and the all the way to the very bad.
This Grinder was donate and we were told it was fully working.
Inspection soon showed that it may of been working. But it was not going to be, in this state of repair.
The cable clamp has been removed and the switch exposed.
First look it seams to be a classic B&D non repairable switch. I know different.
Tease up the suppression capacitor to expose theses two crimp connections. Carefully remove them and the mains switch can be lifted out.
The cover is clipped into place, remove that and the connections are exposed.
Re cable, test and we have a working tool.
A guard has been fitted it was given a PAT and a clean.
