90% gone but still this tree lives !!!

Think this is a beech tree near Foxton Locks in Leicestershire....
It has a massive crown which is amazing when you consider whats going on with the trunk :shock: :shock:

In my opinion this tree is dangerous and should be felled. If it is on open ground and wont damage anything if it fell over on its own accord it would be ok. However if there is a public footpath or houses etc nearby it could cause damage, injury etc and the tree owner would possibly be liable. You dont have to be an expert to work that out! In these litagious times I wouldnt like to test out any claims in the courts.
