With 240v input can I simply connect a single 1 x gang one way switch to 3 x lights whereby I connect the incoming live into the switch and take the live and the neutral and the earth wire to the first LED light and onto the Second LED and then the 3rd LED light connecting live , neutral and earth along the way. Will the throwing of the switch power on the 3 x lights. Any simple online diagrams with your reply would be v welcome. BTW I work v carefully/safely with electrics; and the LED lights I have are all fitted with L,N,E wires.

Yes it's that simple. Can we assume that these three led lights are directly mains powered and are not supplied via a low voltage power supply.

With some lights they actually come with the facility for loop in / loop out such as downlighters. Also not all will have an earth as some are double insulated (class 2) and you can run just two core cable.
