Hep i think you might be right! Got 4 small windows in the roof. 2 boarded up right now. So a little light comes in which is a little bit nicer. Just need to get them repaired as they aren't water tight right now. Which has made a floor area with very rotten boards.usually the days when I feel I’ve not achieved much are actually the days you achieve the most. No one will ever see your planning and thinking of how you want to set everything up . But that is a fine looking space for a workshop. I guess the only downside is natural light. All the same very nice
I hope that they can be saved but if not the velux windows are a very good investment as you get natural light and fresh air on those hot days we don’t get many of . Look forward to the completed workshop ..Hep i think you might be right! Got 4 small windows in the roof. 2 boarded up right now. So a little light comes in which is a little bit nicer. They were cast iron and one of them some how got blown out and seemed to explode, still got the other one but still but needs new glass. Just need a bit of time to get round to it. They are pretty primitive things. Only around 40cmx30. Don't know if velux even go that small. I'll need to come up with something though!I hope that they can be saved but if not the velux windows are a very good investment as you get natural light and fresh air on those hot days we don’t get many of . Not sure how long term I'll be in here. So trying not to put significant investment into the building. But will be going around collecting any FBM Insulation offcuts i can find. I'm pretty happy with the temperature right now. The only thing I don't like is when sanding, the air blown out from the sander tends to freeze my fingers to the bone! So I wouldn't complain to an extra bit of warmth.Insulate and it will be more comfortable year round. Lots of LED lights will make it nice and bright too.
My shop is above the garage adjacent to the kitchen so I understand the thinking behind not bringing too much up. Be a lot easier if I had another place to store the wood.
