Finally decided to move away from my father's workshop + openworkshop.
Got a second floor Of a farm shed I've managed to snag. A couple solid walls under the flooring and some hefty joists under it and removed about a few tons of rubbish before moving in my stuff. So pretty sturdy but will need to watch how much stuff I bring up here.

Being second floor seems to help with moisture aswell as heat. With it being pretty dry and maybe not cosy But certainly not the low degrees it is outside.

Not got a whole lot to post now but just adding this here so I can track progress as somedays I feel like I have achieved nothing!

usually the days when I feel I’ve not achieved much are actually the days you achieve the most. No one will ever see your planning and thinking of how you want to set everything up . But that is a fine looking space for a workshop. I guess the only downside is natural light. All the same very nice 👌

Insulate and it will be more comfortable year round. Lots of LED lights will make it nice and bright too.
My shop is above the garage adjacent to the kitchen so I understand the thinking behind not bringing too much up. Be a lot easier if I had another place to store the wood.

Pete
