Hey folks
Have acquired a new Crownshaw and Chapman(?) table saw, and was wondering how best to set it up.
The blade is 18" taper ground, currently 6tpi in serious need of a sharpen (and a work over to straighten a gradual bow,) though the teeth are fairly evenly shaped (less set at the tip than the heel - is this something to maintain?).
What are thoughts on a sensible fleam angle to use?
For the bow - try flexing against the curve in a vice? Or go straight to a wooden anvil?
