Hi

I've got a bandsaw, P/T and table saw that all have a 100mm DX port. I then have a HVLP vac with a 100mm hose which I would like to connect to these tools.

Problem is, as both hose and port are at 100mm on the P/T and table saw, it's very difficult to fit the hose onto the port. This isn't an issue with the bandsaw, the port must be 98mm or so.

How do others get around this issue? As a corollary, are there any better solutions for quick release than a quick release (compression style) jubilee clip?

Thanks!

Get a bit of 100mm tube about 8" long, cut a slot in it just wide enough so when it's compressed it is a tight fit into the TS/PT port.

These are very good.

Thanks, Mick - but they appear to fit a particular hose. I did notice them and was initially optimistic!

Where did you get the hose from? I've never had a problem with a proper 100mm hose fitting on a 100mm outlet.

That explains it I think. I've got the Axminster version, same machine - different colour, and the bore is slightly smaller than my other 100mm hoses.

Actually I think it must be the Axminster TS-200. Because the plastic adaptor on the end of the hose fits onto the router table, P/T and bandsaw without complaint. But when I try to get it on the TS-200? No go. They are exactly the same diameter so can't "mate".

Any ideas?

THANKS
