Some more progress with the TARDIS model kit. I've glued most of the pieces, so far I've gotten the roof & base, the three box panels and the two doors. Which brings me to my next point; the doors will be functional with proper hinges (hopefully, if everything goes to plan!) it's possible with the kits at this scale. I have encountered a slight issue though, the hinges which I've got are a bit too big and don't fit so I'm going to look for some even smaller hinges tomorrow and hoping they fit, if not...I may have to scrap the opening doors feature. 'Hopefully the latter doesn't happen...I am a bit worried though 😟

It looks like you have pegs top & bottom on the single doors they would be your hinges would they not?

Edit: that to they

Always shown with the rh door opening inwards, if I was designing the actual Police box I would have had it opening outwards,
1, it would be more secure and 2 it gives more room inside, obviously in a real life Tardis that wouldn’t matter lol.

You are right @Phill05 , they do have pegs at the top and bottom and they are technically the hinges for the doors. I was going to mention this in my initial post but I had to run a few errands and wasn't able to type up everything in one post so, my bad on that.

But, yes the pegs/tabs at the top and bottom are the hinges for the doors. The only problem is, because the pieces from the model kit are very thin (in terms of the thickness of the piece), I'm quite worried that those hinges will snap. There's also rectangular rod piece, which can be placed at the back of the door, to add support to the doors when opening them. But again those rod pieces are quite bendy and fragile, after I took off the packaged masking tape. I'll send a diagram-ish picture to hopefully show what I mean:

I hope this helps...sorry if the image isn't clear!

I believe, and I could be wrong on this, Police Boxes in real life did have doors opening outwards so you're not wrong. In the show however, the doors have always opened inwards and I'm highly speculating that this kit is designed to have the doors opened inwards as well so I don't think the doors can open outwards...
