Soon had it in bits and into the Citric acid.

A nice finish to the castings.

Is that cast in weight on the gear wheel designed to help balance the weight of the turning handle? If so a nuce bit of thoughtful design, I'm guessing it would give a modicum if flywheel effect?

It is has all but small castings of SIF 1940. WD
It is a SIF, but the records show it may bea copy of a Millers, with no S/N it is hard to prove.
Not the first millers of a SIF that goes out of its way to confuse humans.
