    Battery Fire Risks

I have been working in my daughter's flat where space is at a premium and she has stored a number of my cordless tools in their boxes underneath her bed. I am sure we have all seen reports of e-bikes and e-cars catching fire and their batteries increasing the intensity of the fire - and this...

    Evri. New Flat pack delivery.

It beats me why people use EVRI - previously known as Hermes - given their reputation. It is a bit like people flying BA and then posting their dire experiences with sad faces in the Daily Mail (other papers are available).

Workshop Layout - help / inspiration needed

Just a thought for you (esp in light of the security thread). How about changing the doors to side-hinged security doors that open outwards. Benefits - no more issues of the mechanism as well as extra security. One possibility -...

    Stolen tools news article

Police, rightly or wrongly, seem more interested in dealing with motorists and others who won't beat the dung out of them rather than real criminals like these. That is not to say that there arent some very brave officers like the ones who dealt with the swordsman two weeks ago. However, as...

Hence we see the rise of companies like TM Eye - https://tm-eye.co.uk/ - to fill the void.

Care to share any product advice on your marking techniques? I am trying to balance the smart water solutions vs the more blatant markings.

    Stolen tools news article

Whilst it is easy to criticise the Police, sometimes they bring it upon themselves. The recording of "Non-Crime Hate Incidents" - what's that about? If it is not a crime then the Police should not be involved. On several occasions I have suggested a specific security-related section on this...

Does being right or lft-handed determine which way round a room you go when painting ?

By preference - anticlockwise - I am right-handed - so my body is next to the unpainted wall.

Alternative to the festool ETS EC150

If edge sanding is the main use, how about the 125mm Festool ETS/ETSC with an edge sanding attachment? https://www.festool.co.uk/products/surface-preparation/edge-sander

    Smallest possible downstairs toilet

If it is only for pee, and not for the garden, how about a urinal rather than proper toilet assembly? Especially useful for males with dodgy prostates - my uncle had one (the urinal, that is, not the dodgy prostate)

    Woodhaven2 heads up

    Multitool advice

I use Blue Bosch for cutting and sanding - the old model - the new one looks much better - however, it does not offer dust extraction when sanding. For that I use a delta pad on a Rotex 90 - but beware the sanding paper is not compatible - Festool have done their own thing with the holes...

    Royal Mail tracker...

With any of these services - get a refund - hit them where it hurts. If they don't meet their contractual 24 or 48 hours, then the fee is repaid. Of course, this benefits the sender not the recipient.

    Speed Awareness Course

So, maybe someone can give a definitive answer (I cannot find in HC) - what is the actual law on overtaking on the inside when encountering a CLOD?
