JML or other screw extractors. Do they work?

Just a thought but they may be STAR headed rather than Phillips/Pozi, in which case you will need a suitable star shaped driver. Feel free to ignore this post if you have already thought of this. Martin.

I'm searing for a new table saw for my Festool table.

Schummie, There is a review of the DEFT T30 here https://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=32430&highlight=deft. In addition, if you put DEFT in the search engine for this forum and limit the search to Buying Advice/Tool Reviews you will get a lot of posts that discuss the merits of...

I'm searing for a new table saw for my Festool table.

Hi Schummie, My choice of table saw was very limited because more than anything else I wanted a 250mm blade, an induction motor and a sliding table, but it had to fit in my workshop that is only 2.2m wide and it had to cost around £500. The Record was the only one that fitted all these criteria...

I'm searing for a new table saw for my Festool table.

Or is it the other way round? Either way the Record at £600 (about 700 Euros) is significantly cheaper! Martin.

I'm searing for a new table saw for my Festool table.

Schummie, I used to have the Festool CMS with the TS75 saw and router table and I changed it for the Record TS200c table saw, which I can recommend. You can read my review of this saw here...

Work Sharp The Wood Tool Sharpener WS3000 model

Its a bit of a long shot but have you tried contacting Worksharp themselves (Professional Tool Mfg company). If you explain the situation that Rutlands are the only outlet that have the 240v version but they refuse to supply it to Norway so could they supply a 240v Worksharp direct to you in...

Now is a good time to buy Festool from Axminster

Festool don't allow their Dealers to discount power tools (although you can get a discount on accessories bought at the same time as a power tool). If you got a discount on a Festool power tool from a Dealer you are very well connected, nurture that dealer. Martin.

Now is a good time to buy Festool from Axminster

Do I detect a hint of irony in that question? Martin.

Now is a good time to buy Festool from Axminster

I know the current Axminster 10% discount has been mentioned in an earlier post but I have just purchased a Festool sander over the web from Axminster and had a 10% discount (£28.52) applied to the order. You need to have a customer number, which you can obtain by registering with them on line...

    Equiping a workshop

Adrian, From the somewhat heated discussion that has arisen from your questions you will see that there are lots of different ways of setting up a workshop; With a tablesaw With a bandsaw With a circular saw and guide rail(s) With a mitre saw (fixed or sliding) Plus any or all of the above...

Trend T5 router base has only two holes!

Sounds like a workable plan, here a few things to consider; A large router suitable for table use will normally come with both half inch and quarter inch collets, and for most you can get an 8mm collet as well. These are the most common sizes for router cutter shafts and there are plenty of...

Work Sharp The Wood Tool Sharpener WS3000 model

Wayne, I have not yet bought a Worksharp but have had a good look at one. I agree that there is no way of removing the burr on the inside of a gouge using the WS. However, one way of doing this would be to use a round edge slip stone, something like this from Rutlands...

Trend T5 router base has only two holes!

I agree with Setch, the T5 is a fine little router, I use it a lot for any light weight hand held routing, cutting out hinge recesses, trimming a few mm of the edge of boards etc. But I don't think it is suitable for use in a table, I have the big Triton for that. Martin.

Record TS200C Table Saw - Set up and Review - Long+Pictures

Regards the problem with the two bolts that sheared. Record sent me two bolts in the post but unfortunately they were the wrong ones. I raised a new case on the Record Technical support site and they have now sent me the correct bolts. Although the bolts should not have sheared, and they...

    Rutlands fast delivery

An update; I received a letter (snail mail) yesterday from Rutlands to tell me the parts I had ordered were expected to be delivered to them on the 4th April and would be despatched to me shortly after then. I wait in hope. Martin.

    Rutlands fast delivery

Thats great service. I have ordered a replacement mitre fence and dust extractor adaptor from them, but both are showing as out of stock. I did wonder if they were reducing their stock holding to reduce costs and only ordering stock when they have an order to back it up. Looks as this is not the...

Record TS200C Table Saw - Set up and Review - Long+Pictures

Dave, Thanks very much for the comments, glad you enjoyed it, makes it worth the effort. Regards the rise, fall and tilt mechanism, OPJ has it exactly right. On this saw the rise, fall, and tilt mechanisms are extremely robust Acme screws and the saw motor/blade unit rides on very solid double...
