    copies

I agree with this. If you look back to the Renaissance there was a lot of copying going on, that's how people learned to paint. I think there are very few "designs" that can actually be called a new design and i would think that it would be almost impossible to copy right a piece of...

Any body seen on for sale?

I have that grinder if you want to buy it. Make me a reasonable offer and i'll ship it. Then you'll have the bits on top and the grinder to do with what you want.

Lost in the world of mitre saw's

I think the fence is good evidence that it does secondary bevels as if it only did them on the flat there would be no need for an angled fence.

    Festool Multi Table inquiry

Like i said i am getting on fine with the two i have and if it was a problem i'd of bought the 1400 mm one but it isn't necessary, i was just being kind by not rebutting your comment. I did see £500 as a lot of money to but it was justifiable only because i had the Festool ???75 and they work...

    Milwaukee parts?

I have a makita 110 charger from the usa as i bought a 7 piece kit on ebay from there. They are only 110 though and got a charger off ebay here in the uk. You could probably find a Milwaukee one on ebay here as well and still be ahead price wise.

    Festool Multi Table inquiry

Well at the price of the rails i think it will be ok. Not all of us have a lot of money to throw at these things and for my purposes and amount of on site work i do it will work. If i did a lot of on site work i'd probably get the longer rail. In shop i only rough cut with it as it is easier...

    Festool Multi Table inquiry

I don't what size the one was that came with the saw but i combined the two and it just reached end to end on the sheet of plywood. I wouldn't of been asking about the connectors if it weren't so. So far this festool set up is the most handy set up i've had for on site work.

    Norm in Hand Tool Shocker

I don't see a problem with saying dovetails are over rated. It's like maths, some things are just learning a formula and somethings you actually need to understand fully to execute. Dovetails are like learning a formula. I don't see any point in berating someone for expressing an opinion...

    Festool Multi Table inquiry

Thank you very much! I thought they'd be very expensive if you could find them at all. I wish their clamps were that cheap!

    Festool Multi Table inquiry

It is the MFT3. It is a lot of money! I really thought long and hard before buying it. Between that and the saw it is a £1000 but I felt that the saw was more usable with the table and am planing on making it into a table saw as well. Seen it on Utube. I used it the other day to make a...

    Poor man's Joint Master?

=D> I've watched the video several times and have drawn up some plans to build one. I was going to order some blades and get to work on it. But after seeing yours i think i can make one a bit differently. Thanks for sharing

    Festool Multi Table inquiry

Thanks cambournepete that did the trick! There were no instructions that came with the darn thing and i couldn't find any assembly instructions. After i read your post i found a set up video on Youtube, cleared up few other concerns i had as well.

    Festool Multi Table inquiry

I finally gave in and bought the Festool multi table. After setting it up and trying to square it up, i noticed that there is an alful lot of flex in the sled for the saw. I manually moved it back and forth and it moves about a half an inch at the free end. I looked at the hinge part and it...

    a devon boy

That is a pretty impressive box. Do you have to do a major work now? If so what did you have in mind? And with only one day a week when do you graduate?

    Enamel Kiln for hardening?

Very impressive stuff!!! I will be keeping my eye out for one of those little kilns. It will be a sad day when you chop up that burr! I've grown accustomed to seeing your items modeled on it.

Point taken. Better in the filter then in the air.

    New Japanese Chisel....Bargain?

You wouldn't want to nick the blade to often on one of those bevel backed chisels. End up with it being ground down faster then the back is flattened.

    European Oak Serving Tray

I made something similar years ago. The only thing i found is that even at 3/8's of an inch thick it was heavy and looked to chunky. Just something to think about, because i didn't think about it until it was done. It was a lot of work for nothing at the end because it just sat never being...
