    Any router experts there?

Thanks guys. That gives me several avenues to explore, but I didn't want to go down the "do it by hand" route as I don't think I'm consistent enough for it to look good.

    Any router experts there?

I need to make a kiddie's table top from 18mm MDF, (it's going to be painted) and round the corners. I would guess that the best way to round the corners (2" or 3" radius) would be with a router, but I just can't work out how to do it. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

    Finger pulls in glass doors

But there's a certain amount of glass dust around anyway, as I have to cut the doors from sheet, then polish the edges myself. It's SOOOO much cheaper to do it that way! So, nobody has any experience of this sort of thing? I'm surprised. There's usually an amazingly broad band of experience...

    Finger pulls in glass doors

I'm seeking how to make finger pulls in small glass doors, and was shown one which was obviously made by applying the glass to a grinding wheel, leaving a gouge about 50mm long and 15mm wide. Has anyone attempted something similar, presumably using a slow speed grinder with a water bath? My...

I received that piece of spam too, and didn't contribute to the "bullet in the wood" thread, if that'll help allay your suspicions, JJ. John

Be afraid - be very afraid

We moved into our home a year ago. It's a barn conversion on a non-working farm, and we soon became aware of much scuttling around in the roof. I put trays of poison in the roof space, which didn't get touched. One evening at dusk I happened to be outside, and realised that dozens of bats...

    Perforated zinc sheet

Thanks for that suggestion. I know the stuff; it's too light and flimsy for my purpose, I need something stiffer and heavier if possible. My bees have tungsten carbide teeth! John

    Perforated zinc sheet

Can anyone tell me of a supplier of this stuff? Or is it so old-fashioned that nobody sells it any more? I need a few pieces, less than a square foot in total, for swarm boxes. Any perforated metal non-ferrous sheet will do. Regards, John

    Microsoft Outlook

Hi guys and gals, can anyone help me with what may appear (to you!) to be a simple problem? I've just got a new phone (SPV M3100) which runs Windoze, and I want to transfer Contacts in Outlook onto it. I want to copy Contacts on my computer, transfer it to my laptop, edit it and then download...

I need to cut some 70mm diameter holes for soffit vents. Never done this before, and have never seen a 70mm spade bit, so what do I cut these holes with? Regards, John

    Been Looking at Google Earth...

We've recently moved out into the sticks in North Somerset, and a nearby village rejoices in the name of Nempnett Thrubwell. It takes longer to say it than drive through it! John

    Cheap extraction

I too use an old Vax, but have it connected to a large plastic drum which I laughingly call my cyclone, but it works. The drum is vacuumed by a pipe vertically in at the top in the centre, and collects all the dust and chips with an entry at the top edge, with an angle that directs the stuff...

    MS Outlook help please

Interesting, Matt. Did you just decide to go to Open Office, or did you run it side by side with MS Office first to try it out? I'm tempted to give it a try, but concerned if I download OO onto the same hard drive as MS Office they might not be compatible. I don't want to burn my bridges, so...

    MS Outlook help please

Thanks, Matt, that does it for me. Am I the only one who loves Organiser? My son, a "techy", thinks I'm sad! He's probably right, but I get on well with it.
