Grin, yep, Festool don't do one of those...... Still, it's 0 Volt, easy to store, do get some chip out, and run time is for as long a the user can put up with it. G

Does anybody know if Wickes cut down for you? I don't fancy the handsaw in the carpark trying to wedge it in the car.

    MDF Type

Thanks Alan, I will try and find some 100% stuff for the sprayed fronts as that's what's going to be the real challenge. G

    MDF Type

Currently planning some pretty serious jobs in the house (2 built in wardrobes and kitchen) and have a query on MDF. I got some 18mm Moisture resist stuff, but it appears to be a sandwich of some green core (about 8mm) and then faced with normal mdf. Am I going to have trouble finishing this...

    Quick kitchen picture

Looks awesome, but one question. When you take your MDF down to be finished, what have you done to it already? Obviously it's cut to size, but what about edges etc? What sort of cost is it ballpark. I have some gloss wardrobes to make in considering this option. Keep up the posts and pics...

    Seperate planer thicknessers

Hey, I think it depends what you want to use it for. From looking on here there are some good ones out there that are not too expensive. What you do need to think is that it may be great for that small chest of drawers you may be making now, but if you want to do something large in future you...

    Pillar Drill Help

All, I am after a decent pillar drill that will be good for: -Not too big so can be stowed away -Has some kind of depth stop so I can do things like use forstner bits for drilling out inserts for kitchen door hinges to accurate depths -Is pretty accurate so can so some fine slot cutting and...

Hi, Ask to speak to Martin at CRM Saw in Waterlooville, Hampshire. They are very helpful and will be able to source what you need. They're on the web so google them and they come up. G

    Some furniture prices

Seems a little steep to me. If you wanted a few you could hop on a plane to China and commission and import it yourself.

Well , Who got some woodworking gear for Xmas ?

I had socks for xmas, but not the kind that you put your feet in, more the kind you put your LN Jointer and LN Smoother in. Dead chuffed, not prompted at all too.

Ha ha, so is pretty handy indeed then. Like to see the project on here too.

    Evolution Rage

Are they actually any good though? I can't imagine they would fulfill the requirements of most people on here as the blades must leave a poor finish on wood, and how accurate are they too? I think i will stick with my Fes'.

Electric Fan Heater for Very Cold Workshop

I have a 3kw radiator tha seems to chuck out some heat but still chilly. The LPG and wire element would worry me too much with respect to fire risk. Any dust that's combustible can be extermely dangerous in confined spaces. Do paints and vanishes etc suffer from freezing when you come round to...

    Bought from Rutlands anyone?

They're very good for what I have used them for. I have taken note from this forum and got them to check their stock and dispatch details carefully, but have been fine on some large and some small low value items. Dare I say a tiny but more reliable than Axminster for delivery.

    Window's

Hmmmmm, what's to actually stop you making the windows and just fitting them? It's absurd that you are seeking to improve upon something that's already there yet you are penalised for doing so? I new carefully made window will be more energy efficient, especially if you get some high...

Great work. Can I ask what you finished the walnut countertop with? Wish I was making the same progress, G.

    Finishing Birch Ply

How do you get any bass out of those speakers? There isn't any bass enclosure unless that's in the bottom. Look good. G
