    The Ultimate Bandsaw Tenon Jig

New from Workshop Essentials is The Ultimate Bandsaw Tenon Jig. It references of just one face, as in traditional joinery, making it intrinsically more accurate then flipping the workpiece. It makes tenons, offset tenons, twin and angled tenons as well as lap and bridle joints. They are flush...

    New Layout for UKworkshop

The main purpose for the sidebar will hopefully become clear over the next couple of weeks, when the rest of the updates become live. Obviously there will be space for adverts on it as well as after-all they are what keep the site running. However, I'll be happy to put up a poll as to whether...

    Forum

Hi, Just a quick note to let you know what's going on before the rumour starts that I've sold up and retired to the Bahamas :) The new forum design is the first stage in work I'm hoping to get done over the next few weeks. Not for potential buyers but to give UKW a fresh look and hopefully add...

OH NO! Not a new forum?

Another new section, already? :P The reviews and buying advice used to be separate sections but we combined them to make room for the design section (IIRC). I'll look into changing the default search options. It should be quite easy to do...

    Shopmade Jigs and tips...

The Jigs section is now online. I'll start moving some previously posted jig threads but we won't be doing them all. If you spot a thread which you would like moved over to the new section, please PM the link(s) to me.

    Shopmade Jigs and tips...

Hi all, I wasn't being reticent at all. In-fact I've been away all week on my UKW funded yacht in the south of France   Seriously though, I've been out climbing for most of this week which is why I haven't spotted this thread until I received an email about it today. UKW isn't a...

    Anyone else having problems?

Sorry about that. I upgraded PHP and added a bit more security on the server tonight but UKW didn't like it very much. I had to give it a kick, everything *should* be working now.

A Poll for a Seperate Jig Section on the Forum PLEASE VOTE!

Hi Lee, I do like the idea but I don't think we need a new forum section for it. I've already created a section and layout for it on the main site.

A Poll for a Seperate Jig Section on the Forum PLEASE VOTE!

The section I've created is accessed via the main site (although isn't showing yet as it has no entries). I believe it will be a better solution then if we have another section on the forum. It'll be easier to navigate and search to find the jig you're looking for. I'll try and make some...

Does spam on this forum annoy you?

As Roger says, I doubt we'll get very far trying to contact the spammers directly :( We've actually installed a custom add-on which has stopped the spambots from signing up (touch wood). The latest spammer we had was a real person and unfortunately there's not much we can do about them...

I've got the basic layout/indexing sorted but haven't had chance to start linking the content. It would be a big help if people can send me links to jigs you think should be added :)

What's happened to some of our more illustrious posters?

First I would like to publicly apologise to the moderators and the members for not replying to this thread sooner, it seems to have kicked off without anyone knowing the facts. It was my decision to ban Jacob and I'll explain why in a second. As the moderators are more active on the forums then...
