    scroll saw and long stock

Roger, I have a cheap scroll saw that came from Screwfix and that has two sets of mounting points on it for pin end blades. I used it to cut curves on 3/4" iroko when I made garden chairs, of course a little while later I bought a band saw.

Craft table in MR MDF using pocket screws. Fast & Simple

Dave, That is a very useful looking table, good use of pocket hole screws. I used them for the cabinet my band saw is mounted on, they give a surprisingly strong structure.

Another source of new wheels for the Tormek is Peter Child, they don't do a diamond one but have some hard ones for turning tools.

My bench grinding disaster - please help?

So looking at this picture So you have both bits shown? Have you mounted the grinder and the jig on a solid base board, eg 1/2" ply or MDF, thicker is better, there must be no slop on any of the fixings and does the guide slide smoothly on the rest? I don't have this jig but I would wax the...

My bench grinding disaster - please help?

Hi Fobos, It sounds to me like you could be swinging the chisel across the wheel, in an arc, you need to move in from side to side in a straight line.

    Wet/Dry Vacs

Brendan, I think this is a new line, I have not seen it. The one I have is a stainless drum and the older one was plastic but not as rounded on the top.

    What Bandsaw Blade now...?

They have never had one, if you do a search on the forum you should be able to find a phone number. They did stop selling band saw blades for a time, but IIRC they have been doing so again. I have never used them.

    Dust extractor issues

So you have a long length of flexible pipe which concertinaed back to its shortest length! My recommendation would be to use a rigid pipe, I have used soil pipe in my system, two reasons, it does not move and the resistance to the air flow is less, hence amount of dust that can be...

    Jet WetStone Grinder?

I have a Jet, the LOML bought it for my Christmas present a few years ago. :D Back then there was a bigger price difference than today, it came with a few more bits as standard as well, I am not sure the current deal is as good. I have the knife jigs, one from Jet, one form Tormek not a lot of...
