    Planer knife honing jig

You mount them up in pairs, counting the number of strokes, rotating the knives so they all get the same number of passes.

Anyone use the Jet Assg10 sharpening system

I grind chisels to 24° and then use a honing guide (Veritas MkII) on ceramic stones to finish the job at 25° and when require a micro bevel of 27°. This allows me the keep the edges sharp by hand very quickly during a job, only using the wet grinder after a number of retouches on the stones by...

It is not spam, they have your email address on their list, you gave it to them, if you don't want emails from them they will remove it. It comes with a jig for flat blades, chisels and plane irons, for turning tools you can buy more jigs to suit the different tools you may have. There is a...

    Grey Scotch-brite velcro discs 150mm

Rob Cosman DVD's and his dovetail saw

I think Bugbear is referring to a cheap steel rule from a pound shop or market, more use from blade sharpening than measuring.

    Mitre saw blade

Blades with lots of teeth have small gullets and are nominally used for cross cutting. The small gullets cope with the small chip type saw dust this produces. When cutting long grain you tend to get longer stringy saw dust, which needs bigger gullets to carry it out of the cut, hence the ripping...

    Uh oh. wizer's got a chainsaw..... !

First of all, have put A&E on standby? Is the log you stopped on the first cut you have made with the grain? The chain you have will be one designed to cut across the grain, the tooth spacing and chip clearance hooks are different for long grain cutting. You can cut long grain but it...
