Hello everyone and some advice please

On top of Tony's list you'll need a good circular saw. Highly recommend the Festool TS55  and a router, again a festool is the way. No I don't work for Festool but I wish I did so I can get the whole range for free

    Sheet Material Storage???

This is a particularly sore subject for me too. It takes so much space against one wall in my workshop I try to buy only what I need for a specific project. Left overs still take too much room. I'll be interested to see what good tricks the Users have come up with :D

    Workshop Final

Seeing Waka's clean workshop have motivated me to finally reclaim some space in my workshop. A pricy shelving system but it's really good, functional and strong. Believe it or not but all this timber was on the floor! I have installed some more shelving around claiming plenty of space back...

    OUCHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Signal, did you hear me on Sunday, I was praying on your luck that nothing would happen as I used my planer for the first time (not a test cut). It was a short job but successful and no accident. Nice finish but I really need some practice. Thanks for your protection Signal

    Workshop

That would do it :D What about all around the garage door, did you use some sort of tiny brush strips that cut the drafts? or is that door coming to rest in a rebated frame like a door? Just curious and I want to make sure Waka doesn't get a cold :P

    Cordless Drill?

Alf let me charge into the debate and break the balance: i too recommand the Metabo BST12. It's a great tool and I think the charger that stops charging when it's fully charged is worth the money you are charged for  "Chargez!"

    Workshop

Well done Waka, an excellent job, it looks really cosy. What about this front garage door, it seems you would be losing all the heat through it. It's cold steel, it works like a giant radiator only keeping you cold! You should stick something to it no? I noticed you used what looks like those...

    France

Scott, go to www.pagesjaunes.fr Enter in "activité" = scierie and Enter in "Département ou région" = Ain Click "Rechercher" button. You will get a long list of sawmills, Scierie Subtil are apparently specialist in Oak (chêne). Note: press the "suite" button at the end of the list on each page...

    France

Sorry Scott but you are too far for me to have any remote knowledge of the area. Indeed online shopping in France is very poor. This is because French people are scared to use their Credit Card without better securities. They have been using pins (input their code at all tills) on their credit...

Scott, where are you in France? Let's start by narrowing down the search. If you are in Normandie, I could help.

I too use one and have no problems. I have even used it to help clamp carcasses. Have you better luck after talking to Trend?

    Workshop roof problem

I don't know if it's the same in the UK but here going to B&Q to get any building supplies will cost you a lot more than your local builders provider! But then again this IS rip off Ireland I am talking about :(

Problem locking CT 150 fence at 90 degree

Thanks very much Johnjin. I got a go at it last night (in a rush again :( ) and I seem to have sorted it out. The problem is I am not sure how :!: but I am guessing that Johnjin you were close to being the Knight in shiny armour afterall  What I did is pull back the stops (bolts), set...
