    Wadkin BRA restoration WIP

OK i'll start with a disclaimer. Don't expect this to be regular or quick, depending on work this may take some time. If it's quick, it's either easier than i'm expecting or business is bad. Pictures of the mean machine before starting As you can see it's in a nice NHS type blue...

    3 phase options

you don't have to bury armoured if you don't want to but if it's a year it may well be worth it, depending on vehicles and people travelling over it. get your electrician to find it for you, he should have good terms with a supplier. over spec it if you are unsure as to size.

    3 phase options

I am currently using a generator for my 3 phase, I have a transwave rotary convertor ready to be installed. for you I think I would go with the extension cable run in ducting underground. I think it would just be easier.

    Breadboard Project - Tips/Advice Appreciated

nice design looking at your design and how modern and simple it is, I personally would like the corner joints to be butted or mitred. Have you used a planer before? do you not have a fence on it at 90 degrees to your bed to get your perpendicular face? before thicknessing nathan

    Complete newbie

if you get a thinner blade the saw cut would not be wide enough to around the riving knife, if you buy a thicker blade the riving knife would not be doing it's job to the full and the timber could close and jam and kickback on the blade. 3.2mm is a common size blade, so easy to get. if you do...

    Tooling Suppliers

Hi All I have been using Leitz tooling for the last year or so for all my tooling, saw blades, planer blades, router bits, spindle parts, multibore bits. Unfortunately although the quality of Leitz stuff is brilliant, their communication is rubbish. So I've decided i'm going elsewhere. Leuco...

    Work Bench for a lefty

my grandfather (90 odd) is left handed. when he was at school if he was caught writing with his left hand he would have a beating, due to this he can do everything both left and right handed. can't remember whether he used to smack me and my brother right or left handed when we were kids though...

    anyone recommend a cheapish drill?

i'd be tempted to get a plug in drill, with hammer action, you can be putting in some big screws whilst doing decking and for a small budget you'd get more oomph with a plug in and proper hammer action when needed. cordless hammer action in my opinion is emergency use only even with a good...

Again another table saw dilemma :?

used a lurem combi at someones workshop, very good. even though I have more machines than I need, if I saw one at the right price I would still buy it, just because it would be a good back up.

    Hello, newbie with a project.

how about a used combination machine from ebay, you get a lot for your money, and if you get the right one they are surprisingly good.

People who have no respect for your work...

I make kitchens and sometimes the fit goes over a weekend, the number of people who start using the kitchen during the weekend is unreal, filling unfinished cupboards etc. when we go back to take images we have to allow time to clean the kitchen. these people have spent a lot of money on their...
