    Putin is a loser

They had the longest range of any heavy bomber at the time so we're used to patrol the Atlantic gap against the German U boats. James Stewart flew them over Germany, and was very nearly killed landing a badly damaged one.

    Putin is a loser

Not sure if there are any airworthy B29's. During the war there were hundreds at Tinian alone.

    Putin is a loser

Yep, Henry was a pretty unpleasant individual. He didn't get on board at first, but when he did the outcome was predictable. Willow Run turned out a new B24 about every 50 minutes if I recall correctly. Ford made a great many Jeeps, I think it was GM who made the most trucks. Their 6x6 is an...

    Putin is a loser

And let us not forget that in effect capitalism won the war. Roosevelt's decision to allow American companies to bid for contracts for war material, and make a profit, was profound. It really did turn America into the arsenal of democracy. The truly staggering quantities of equipment produced...

    Putin is a loser

The failure of communism, or at least the Soviet interpretation, long preceded any of your races. Millions starved owing to collectivisation of farming. As with so many things the problem was those in charge being chosen primarily for their ideological reliability, rather than any knowledge of...

Slow Speed Bench Grinders in the UK

And the rest ought to be close to the wheel so that whatever you are grinding cannot get stuck between the two.

    Back door steps

Wooden former to make shallow concrete steps then paving slabs on top cut to a suitable size. Would blend in well. The old really thick council paving slabs are great if you can get hold of some.

    Putin is a loser

It was intended to be somewhat tongue in cheek. Most of the deaths actually took place well before the war started. I think you could probably sum it up in the Soviet example as a case of pursuing the idea on an ideological basis, even though in their case it clearly wasn't working.

    We Will Remember Them

I think Kitchener was wary that too harsh a treatment of the Germans might provoke a further war. He might have had some influence had he survived. Then again the Germanic people had initiated several wars in the years prior to the great war, so no great surprise that in the aftermath of that...

    Putin is a loser

The relative inefficiency of collective farms led to the death by starvation of millions in the Soviet Union, not sure it's a great model.

    A wooden bandsaw ... scary ...

Fred Dibnah had a fairly large steam driven stone cutting circular saw. I dare say like most of his kit it was Victorian era. Dirty great blade, no guards of any kind. Scary but great.

Does anyone own the Scheppach Precisa 2 Table saw/kity 419?

U_engraving is a seller on e bay who makes gearwheels for lathes in delrin. He might well be able to make a replacement plastic gear for the Kity, if anyone needs one.

    Swan neck hollower

Good range but quite expensive. I suspect looking at them that they are all repurposed metal cutting tips, which are widely available and quite a bit cheaper.

    The joy Of Citric Acid

That is seriously grey. Never seen anything like that. I am thinking maybe something to do with the baking soda?

    We Will Remember Them

The earlier series the great war is very good. Makes you wonder how we could have been so stupid as to kick off again only 20 odd years later.

    US Election November 5th

I would be concerned about the four years. It looks as though he will have control of both houses, maybe he will want to overturn the limit on how long he can serve. After all why should we be robbed of his genius after just four years. And he is a genius, he told us so on some talk show. What...

What is this tool used for and what is it called?

Joking aside, if they are in good condition then they are worth a few bob.
