    Another built in Finally fitted!

Had a final fitting today to make sure everything fits as it should. I am waiting for the handles at the moment and hoping they arrive before Tuesday! I know I should have ordered them earlier but had to wait for the customer's approval. If they arrive in time then I shall be fitting these on...

    Need a new car

They are a hell of a good car for the price. My friend used to work on them when they were imported. He suggested my wife buy one of the Picanto's when she was looking for a new car and it was a brilliant little car. She is now on her second having traded it in for the later model. At the moment...

Arnold Laver (Reading) - hardwood price

That seems strange as I use Arnold Laver in Hull and their price for AWO is about £38 per cu ft for 1" boards. ?? I have to say the timber they stock is good quality and they seem very helpful.

How about burial at sea, hire a boat, sail a few miles offshore and dump the body, done. That's going to be my way as the ex wife said she would dance on my grave.

    Another built in Finally fitted!

I am finally on finishing at long last. I have almost all of the panels painted now. I have the back of the large doors to paint along with the shelf and divider and then it's done ready to fit. I re assembled the drawer unit today so I could fit the drawer fronts now they are painted. (no doubt...

    Evening entertainment.

Well I have to say that out of all of the plethora of channels available on the TV it was utter rubbish! I lost count of the amount of repeats on each of the channels! As for the comedy programs most of them had whiskers on they were so old! Is it a case of there is no comedy talent worth...

    Finally finished wine rack.

I got this wine rack finished at long last and delivered over Christmas. It didn't turn out too bad and my friend was very happy with it and shared one of his bottles with me. :D

Darwin Award - just when you thought it could get no worse..

Yeah, no problem, the gloves will keep the blood from splashing all over and the goggles will keep it out of his eyes. But look on the bright side he has a mobile base to transport him to the hospital.

Table saw advise wanted Sip 01332 Cast Iron 10" Table Saw

I have the 12" version and think it is a brilliant saw. I have the extension tables on each side of the blade so no over balance problem. as has been said fit a good blade on it as the supplied ones are pants. The fence locks solid and the mitre fence is adequate.

How To Set Up For Halving Joints Using Power Tools?

A good rule of thumb is not to cut deeper than the diameter of the cutter. It is much better to cut in small increments until the final depth is reached. Trying to cut too deep will result in the cutter overheating and blunting. If used correctly a cutter should last years although it will lose...

metabo sxe 450 or festool rotex 150??

I have used both and am still using the Rotex. I have to say the Metabo was a good sander but I did manage to destroy it within two years of use with the bearing seizing and melting the plastic cover! I still have it in pieces under my bench. I do however use an air powered palm sander and would...

How To Set Up For Halving Joints Using Power Tools?

Glad you find it helpful. I rout it all out rather than using a saw (but I am lazy) It may be worth noting that if you do rout them all the way to place a sacrificial piece on one side as there will be some break out. Well they do say it is a small world and I am sure it is. I have lived...
