Who is in and who is out?

A huge number of medical staff come to work in the UK, not because the money is better, but to increase their experience and expertise. They'll often then return back to their home countries to practice what they've learnt. In same way a lot of English doctors spend time working overseas to...

what road are you actually talking about here ?

Who is in and who is out?

This is the sort of misleading statistic that does no one any favours in understanding how the NHS is funded. It's not a simple charge on each individual, the money comes from overall tax and duty revenues. So someone not paying any income tax will only be making a tiny contribution from the...

How can I fit a chuck to this ?

Maybe easier and faster to use in it's primary role of a copy lathe ? It would certainly seem strange if it didn't unscrew. Difficult to be more helpful without a lot more information.

Who is in and who is out?

Or very smart ? Delaying may just allow the enormity of a decision to leave to really be seen for it was forecast to be, a complete disaster. We've already seen so many Brexiters frantically back peddling and denying their promises. http://www.theguardian.com/politics/201 ... ?CMP=fb_gu...

How can I fit a chuck to this ?

I was pointing out that with no holes to screw anything on with, it's not really a faceplate in the generally understood way. Given the smooth outside, it possibly cats as a hand wheel to manually rotate the drive ?

How can I fit a chuck to this ?

Faceplate ? no holes for any screws to hold the work.

Who is in and who is out?

That's probably due to where you live. The mid east coast see things very differently. Sadly it's too easy to blame over stretched services on those that are using them and seem foreign, rather than the politicians that fail to make good plans and provision for a growing population.

Who is in and who is out?

If you include the loss of UK value through the fallen pound and stock market, the last figure I saw was the equivalent of 40 years of contributions.

I really don't want everyone else's idea of a 'bargain' being posted here all the time. It would get very messy. If I want something from eBay I'll look myself and set up an automatic search to notify me of when something I might want gets listed. If I miss something, and I'm sure I must have...

Who is in and who is out?

As a serious fishing port Mousehole's been totally passed by for a very much longer time than we've been in the EU. Newlyn just round the coast has a much bigger harbour and has the transport infrastructure to deal with the catch to the customers. The hoist really only helps a couple of day boats.

Who is in and who is out?

Actually the figure is higher than that. According to https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/business/europe/ funding was due to be a staggering €603,706,864 (about £431m) over six years 2014-20. Whether they'll get the last of that is probably in doubt now. Are they going to get that replaced from a new...

I was there, friends of mine were mugged. Back in the 90s there was still street crime, but very few EU immigrants.

Who is in and who is out?

Cars have doors Roger, they're just a means of transportation to where you're going. Then you get out and walk. Actually the place where car windscreen washing is endemic, the A40 at White City, was the site of pretty nasty regular crimes where for a while people were being robbed whilst...

Beginners wood lathe - need a chuck?

I tried that and found the results so painfully slow I gave up. It sits on a shelf unused. Not really an issue for modern HSS turning tools. Whether the finer edge produced is worth the long wait is debatable. Th Sorby can give even finer grinds if you use the right belt, but I've rarely found...

Beginners wood lathe - need a chuck?

Not a widely given piece of advice in woodturning circles. Sharpening is certainly vitally important, but whetstone grinders are slow and expensive. Most of us start with an ordinary dry grinder with a decent wheel on (white or ruby), possible making or buying some jigs to make things easier...

Who is in and who is out?

A fine example of not reading what I wrote or understanding it. You think people are just going shrug this off immediately ? This has and will continue to cause deep divisions within the UK, especially if the more pessimistic forecasts prove correct.

    British manufactured woodworking tools

I looked carefully at their web site, but couldn't see any claim that they actually manufactured their cutters in the UK. The implication is that Wealden do, but shrubby says Titman are the only router cutter manufacturers, so some doubt there.
