    Colouring woodglue

Burnt umber exists in artist's acrylic paint, as the A in PVA ( Plastic wood glue ) is for Acrylic, it will mix easily.if you allow artists acrylic paint to dry, you'll notice shrinkage and it will stick , because it is basically pigmented glue with some additives.Make tests as it may dry darker.

Why do so many woodworking youtubers use Blues/Bluegrass background music

This ^^^ and petermillard said I was already forming my post in my head when I saw peter's post. My post will be the same anyway. petermillard produces excellent informative videos without a musical background track.( thank you Peter :-) ) My musical tastes range from Eminem to Spem in alium ...

    BLO not hardening: Options?

Linseed oil ( is a "drying oil" ) it oxidizes, then oxidizes some more and polymerizes, heating will speed it up a little, but what you really need is a siccative .Depending on what you can get now ( lead oxide and other lead based sicatives were withdrawn as they are poisonous ) you can mix the...

Would that be the same H&S who think it is OK to have someone from the council to blow the leaves out of the gutter at the side of the road ( using a petrol driven leaf blower that pollutes and makes an ungodly racket ) onto the road and pavements so that vehicles and pedestrians can slip on...

    Grrrrr...Milwaukee, what a con.

Thanks for the additional info . That JPW brochure looks like they bought a "fill in your own details" template from someone, and neglected ( maybe deliberately ) to fill in all their details on all the pages. Taiwan ( at least for now ) isn't PRC although despite the rhetoric from both sides...

Use a vacuum cleaner before moving dusty stuff, your hobby can make you very ill ( long or short term ) or even kill you.lot of toxins in some wood dust, lot of really nasty moulds and fungi in spalted wood.that kind of dust can cripple or kill.Wear a mask and vacuum the dust up, better to wreck...

    Grrrrr...Milwaukee, what a con.

Most people seem to be cutting out a lot of that chain and going direct via aliexpress, bangood et al. it would be great ( albeit very very time consuming ) to make all our own tools, ( thinking of a plane making thread I read here at the weekend ), but that would mean hand tools only.I could...

    Exterior door weather bar.

I've seen interior doors ( not in any houses I've ever owned, solid wood doors only chez nous ) where the core is some kind of honeycomb cardboard. We need two external doors replacing ( around 100 years old pine , now warped to ...gery , and no longer reparable )..Joinery companies want at...
