Colouring woodglue

I am getting a bit of bleed through on some burr veneer (I have patched and filled all the main pores) and looking to see if I can colour the glue to a dark brown to minimise any effect
I am using either titebond extend or aerolite one shot dependent upon the open time required
I have seen a couple of suggestions, including
van **** crystals
dylon dye powder
watercolour paint
acrylic paint
Any suggestions/practical experience appreciated

From an art viewpoint I'd suggest burnt umber pigment (powder) from an art supplier like Cornelissen or Jackson art. It's a very stable light safe colour which won't introduce additional liquid.

Burnt umber exists in artist's acrylic paint, as the A in PVA ( Plastic wood glue ) is for Acrylic, it will mix easily.if you allow artists acrylic paint to dry, you'll notice shrinkage and it will stick , because it is basically pigmented glue with some additives.Make tests as it may dry darker.

What about Mixol ?. For paint, shellac(i did a deep red french polish using it, though the cloths looked like murder had been committed )
So possibly glue, i couldnt say 100% for sure. But big range of colours, easy to mix.
