    Workshop Humidity

It's between 25 and 35 percent in my assembly room. I don't know whether that's in line with a house RH or not or if is a little low? Cheers Jon

    spindle moulder blocks

I agree with jase. It also looks like you've got quite a bit of tenoner tooling so if you can work out what machine it's from you should be able to sell them on ebay for a profit. Cheers Jon

    Narex Paring Chisel Passaround

I've got three of these and am happy with them. The backs took a while to get flat but they are a big chisel. They seem to hold an edge well and are nicely balanced. Cheers Jon

Router Bits (Makes, Models and Types)

You can touch up the bits with a diamond stone but if you send them off to be sharpened the radius will reduce slightly so you will need an undersized bearing . If its difficult grain I tend to use sharp brand new cutters or carefully climb cut which s not a technique I would advise until your...

Router Bits (Makes, Models and Types)

I generally use Titman Trend Freud Trend Cmt and Wealden. All are good Titman are probably the best and what I would use for a big production type job. Wealden are the best value IMO. For your trimmer I would recommend this with replaceable blades and you'll probably not have to buy another...

Today's instalment started on the Carcases and realised I had made a mistake with the length of the sides . I had not added on the thickness of the top and bottom so the solution was to turn the sides around so the holes I had already dominoed were on the outside and make some new bottoms and...

Makita 9404 sander: sanding frame & table jigs worth it?

It's worth getting a frame as it helps greatly against digging in and aids getting a nice flat surface. Mine is a green and black model beginning with F and the frame allows the tool to be used for delicate work like sanding veneered work as well as heavy stock removal on a solid table top...
