Coming along nicely matty. I like the shadow gap around the legs any seasonal movement might muck up your precise work though. I have got a table with a similar cut out at home and the gap gets looser and tighter with the changing seasons. Doesnt bother me though. It will be interesting to...

    P & T combination or separates

Multico also used to make a 9inch wide surface planer which is a nice size for a home workshop and would probably be a better buy if you can find one. I bought one from ebay for about £45 in very good condition but even up to £250 to £300 they are good value but you should be able to pick one up...

Advice on building kitchen cabinets and tools needed please.

I dont see how having a birch ply carcase is going to suddenly make the kitchen immune from fashion trends. However well made a kitchen is chances are that the house owner will want it changed before it is physically worn out. As makers of fitted kitchens i think you have to accept that it will...

    Mortiser - Help Needed, Please

The Earth in the nvr is usually just attached to a bolt on the side of the box and often has the electrical earth logo stamped into the metal assuming its a metal box. cheers Jon

Advice on building kitchen cabinets and tools needed please.

I do quite a few kitchen and generally build the carcases myself from MFC and occasionally birch plywood. It gives you the flexibility to have a perfectly fitted space and no odd gaps and you can keep control of the quality. You really need a scoring panel saw and plenty of space to be able to...

Dewalt Band Saw for sale ( Photos Added ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the rules are. If the price is too low you cant comment unless your BSM then its OK. If the price is too high you cant comment as this is ungentlemanly and the gentlemanly thing to do is let the buyer get ripped off. Clear as mud now. Cheers Jon

    Panel saws

I bought my panel saw secondhand. For your budget of 4K you should be able to get a decent machine. A machine bought from a dealer is usually going to be more expensive than a machine sold privately or bought at auction. With a machine from a dealer you should get the piece of mind that it has...
