    cutting 8x4 sheets

I do most of my parallel cuts on the sliding table. you dont need a fancy fence. I use an old fence from a scheppach sliding table which i have drilled out so that it can be attached by the 2 t slots in the table using a couple of bolts but you could easily use a lump of 3x2 drilled out and...

    Traditional Casement Window

Its looking good but why is there a flat on the sill. This has the potential for water to sit on the cill under the casement wheras if it were a full slope the water would run off. cheers jon

    cabinet making

I reckon the domino must be the favoured method these days amongst small makers. I pretty much domino and carcase screw all my cabinets together unless its a fine furniture commission where i will use more traditional joints as per ellis. cheers jon

    Drive Belt for Scheppach HMS260

Hi Softop There is a small supplier on the industrial estate in Boston so only a few miles from you called anglia bearings who should be able to sort a belt out for you if you know the code it will help otherwise the length and width should suffice. I have just bought a matched pair of belts for...

    Combination Machines

The Better ones to look for are made by Felder and Minimax but will still be pretty pricey secondhand. The hobby machines to look out for are the Kity as jason reccomends or the record ones. cheers jon

    Cabinet Making Tools

I know bespoke gets banded around a lot these days but screwing mfc together with no alignment dowels/dominoes/biscuits is more bodge than bespoke. Why not do the job properley? Surely your employer should make sure you have the right tools to do the job to spec rather than you having to buy...

    spray paint suppliers

You can get pretty much any colour you want mixed either by a ral or bs number or a colour chip book. They mix quite a lot of the pigmented colours for me by the farrow and ball colour swatch. You can get it in either the waterborne or solvent versions and to pretty much any sheen level 10%matt...

Coulb be a bargain - Spindle Moulder.

Hi Dibs You could pick up a small block for about £45 which will take all the 40mm euro knives. The 93mm diametrer of this block should mean that when the knives are installed you will be within the 140mm diameter http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/50mm-EURO-SPINDLE ... 0709698902 This seems pretty good...

Coulb be a bargain - Spindle Moulder.

It will take standard 30mm spindle tooling but you are limited to 140mm in diameter which shouldnt be a problem for running a euroblock and euro knives and a rebate block. Just to clear something up on the posting of ebay links. It is against the rules to post your own links as a member of the...

The Battle of Britain is stationed only about 10 miles from my workshop so we often see them flying over.
