    Mix With sawdust woodfiller

I am doing a reclaimed parquet floor about 50m2 at the moment in teak . Being reclaimed theres the odd hole and small gap that needs filling. I am after any recommendations for products that can be mixed with sanding dust or any experiences of using them . Are they significantly better than...

    conti board

I agree with bob the egger price seems way high to me it looks like its been doubled. There are 3 bands of pricing for the woodgrains and the most expensive band is still under £40 a sheet. If you go with kronospan its cheaper less than £30 a sheet but the core isnt as good imo. Try Meyer timber...

    wood id please

I very much doubt its iroko. I have probably about 10 cubic metres of this timber all in blocks about 250mmx250mmx150mm and it all has the very distictive cats pee smell. I use it for heating the workshop in the winter. I dont know the exact species but i think it comes from australia and could...

    New Kitchen Build

Looking good mooee. I make quite a few kitchens like this and prefer to use steamed beech as it is harder and more stable paints well and only costs a little more. It might be worth considering if you havent bought the timber yet cheers Jon

    Wood Rack

    3 phase to single?

One thing to consider when looking at a 3 phase wadkin or sedwick planer is that there is also a separate feed motor to consider the Sedgwick ones the feed also has a built in gearbox I'm unsure of the wadkin one as I've never owned one. So having to change 2 motors and 2 sets of switchgear the...

    Multico planer

Just make sure you tie it back so it cant fall over eh mark :D As Mark said they are quite heavy but easy to move on the floor but a bit of a dead weight to lift up so you will need some planks and i should think 2 people should be able to manage it. I have just moved one up a flight of stairs...

    wadkin pillar drill

Its a great drill with the footpedal being very usefull as you can have 2 hands on the part being drilled. Slight downside as Bob mentioned is the single speed mine runs at 2800 rpm i think as its single phase but im pretty sure the 3 phase ones can run at 1400 or 2800 rpm. In reality its not...

    spray foam insulation

I am thinking about getting some quotes to have the roof of the workshop spray foam insulated. Its a corrugated asbestos/cement sheet which has many gaps at the eaves and is pretty difficult to keep the shop warm in the winter and also it gets hot in the summer. The landlord will hopefully go...
