    RSDE2 vs Axminster/Numatic NVD750

It won't do chips via a 100mm hose? Why not? [Edit 2/5/11: It would appear it doesn't suck well enough?] Which festool vac did you get and will it do both powertools and the big shop tools like a P/T?

    RSDE2 vs Axminster/Numatic NVD750

Hi After my previous thread asking for tips on what dust extractor solution for both chip collection and dust extraction (e.g. P/T & a Domino) I've narrowed my search down to the RSDE2 vs Axminster/Numatic NVD750. As I read on these hallowed forums that the RSDE2 will do all that I require...

    All in one dust extraction

Thanks for your help. Does the DX4000/DX5000 have two ports for 100mm and hand held power tools?

    Setting up Planer /Thicknesser

My planer/thicknesser (an EB HC260) had two holes on each blade and little matching mating studs on the blade 'roller'. Does this mean my P/T does not require this fine adjustment?

    Advice needed for Table Saw

Isn't the Jet 315 Site saw supposed to be a fantastic little saw? Accurate and well made?

    Laminated Oak lid

No that's fine - but do you think that alone will solve it? I've given the top a light coating of moisture.

    Laminated Oak lid

Hi! I have made a lid for a box out of four narrow oak boards laminated together. No breadboards and no battens on the underneath. But the boards are only 11mm thick. The glue is holding well - that isn't the problem... The problem is that in the sun (the box is underneath a window), the lid...

    Bandsaws

I'm contemplating getting myself a bandsaw. I have a tracksaw (the EZ smart system) and so would ideally like to use the bandsaw for areas that the track saw doesn't do as well as a table saw or simply can't do. Some things I'd like to be able to do: sawing veneers sawing curves /...

Services that will collect bulky *unboxed* items and deliver

Hi, I've seen a tool on eBay I'd quite like to buy - but the seller has listed it as pick-up only. It's fragile and quite bulky. He isn't prepared to box it up, but is prepared for a courier to fetch it at my expense. Anyone know of the alternatives? I've found...

    Titanium Plug/dowl Cutters useless ?

They look good - but as they're not tapered, I suppose I should ask, what's the advantage? That they fit more snugly?

    Playpen

Thanks, good tips both. Ramin dowelling I take it is dowelling, but stronger than the vanilla stuff. I like the idea of using a sandwich approach!

    Playpen

I am thinking about making a portable playpen (raised platform on wheels with a .75m high slatted fence) for my son - but I'm curious to know how the members here would go about tackling the slatted fence. Are there slats one can buy or would they have to be fabricated? What about slots for them...

Vice ever so slightly out of square...

I did try the router option, but at the mo, the only router I had access to was a 1/4" model with only about 35mm depth of cut. Not enough power or reach. I ruled out the saw and chisel route because my bench is made from laminated plywood and I wasn't sure if it would chisel cleanly. Yes, if...

Vice ever so slightly out of square...

Hi! I've been trying to fit a vice to my workbench and the use of a jigsaw has resulted in a slightly out of square rear face... I've made a picture quickly which hopefully shows how/where the vice is out of square (sticks out by about 4mm more on the right side than it does on the left)...

    All in one dust extraction

Hi! I am looking for a best-fit dust extractor for my workshop. Ideally it should be able to handle power tools like routers and mitre saws but also my P/T. Does such a device exist? What's my best bet? Your advice appreciated! Thanks

Hi! Sorry, but which Bosch? The link is dead and its model number seems to have gone unmentioned.
