    Dustcollection

Thas sounds very strange to me. I use the same and totally no dust escapes from the big sucker. Can your problem be caused by the upperside of the sawdeck? Do you blow the sawdust away there or also use suction? Edit: nm, i see you have a big suctionpipe on top.

    Proxxon query

It should not have bladeholders for pinnen blades, that is on the Proxxon DS460. Noi this machine.

What you need on your Hegner is this: Then connect te vacuumcleaner to it and it works like a charm! It is also possible to mount the blowhose there so it sucks also from the top.

    Batteries and chargers (AA/AAA)

Li-ion batteries get stuck when discharged to far, Thats one problem. You can simply kill the battery with a light connected and leave it till the light is off.. And a not carefully used Li-ion battery can burn like hell!

    New Proxxon or old Hegner

Yes the quietness is surprising. Let the fun begin, good luck! PS, a picture of the saw would be nice :)

    New Proxxon or old Hegner

And my last advice: Get Pegas sawblades! The difference with many others is that they do saw in a straight direction. For most of my projects i use No 5 skip reverse blades, but sometimes i use a lower number.

    New Proxxon or old Hegner

Old Hegner! I have had a new Proxxon Ds460 but my second hand (2005) Hegner Multicut1 is way better in my opinion.

Spiralux shapercraft 1000 vibrating scroll saw issues

Length of the blades should be 130 mm. Lucky you, its what most scrollers use.

    Hegner Scroll Saw Speed Control

Sounds great! Have a lot of fun with it and keep experimenting. I forgot one important tip: If the scrolling goes to fast then you can go for a less agressive blade and/or a lower number. Example: Skip tooth blades are more agressive as regular blades.

    Scroll saw issues

The upper arm wont go up and down, there is a springloaded clampsysten in there. Have you tried if the motor works without a sawblade?

    Hegner Scroll Saw Speed Control

True, Hegner says you need a complete new motor for variable speed. And the ****** part is that every cheap *** Aldi or Lidl scrollsaw has the variable speed!

    Hegner Scroll Saw Speed Control

A cheapy from Amazon. Costed €12, the Hegner switch costs €99 here in Holland. I only had to make some connectorts on the wire if the switch.

    Hegner Scroll Saw Speed Control

I have a Multicut 1 single speed. In the beginning i had struggles with it but using a floor switch it all works great. Both hands on the project is the best. Yes it can cut fast but only if you push your project fast.

    Cutting circles

I am still looking for those sandbelts but here in Holland i can only find pinless thingy's. And pinless would be great but they are way to thick to fit in my Hegner bladeclamps. Soon i will glue some sanding paper to a pinned blade.. see if it works.

    Cutting circles

Great to read this! It is always some trial and error but this shows that spiral blades can be very handy. But there is al lot more cleaning op..

Who knows.. trial and error is the best learning curve :)

That is the bad part of most blades. And the reason why i use Pegas blades.. The manufactoring is different from others. Straight blades are unbeatable with straight cuts als dont wearout that much as spiral blades. And in spiral blades there are no reverse tooth blades as far as i know.
