    Laburnum is surprisingly dense and can have a nice grain, I made a mallet with some a few months ago and haven't managed to mark it yet.

    Hi all Please can you help me identify my bandsaw? It is a Startrite similar to this but I can't find anything out about it's model number and specs for the bands. It has approx. 5" depth of cut and 11" throat Anyone any ideas please? Thanks, Mike

    Spoke to them before, seem very friendly but never brought from them. I guess you used to use Yandles in Somerset? There is a place in the Forest of Dean but can't remember their name at the moment and a place near Cirencester, Haleys Wood sawmill I think.
