    Workshop 2 WIP with Photos

I bought the 75mm castors from Axi this week. I bought 4 with brakes and 4 without intending to mix and match and at the till. They all had brakes, despite being labelled differently. I told Axi and they were happy to continue with the sale. Worth thinking about if y need a lot of wheels.

    Workshop Build

Treds, good luck with your build. It's worth taking the time to look through Cedigfa's build for inspiration and also for the odd, ahem, pitfall that he came across. It's a fairly lengthy read, but very interesting and inspiring in my opinion and certainly should provide you with loads of...

    Sourcing pegboard

I'm looking to source some reasonably priced pegboard to mount my tools on in an effort to prevent having to make loads of holes in my wooden workshop walls. I've looked a lot at Google and eBay with little success. Has anyone, particularly in the north west, had any joy? It seems to be...

    big workshop, green ideas?

Dulux? ;) How about the obvious addition of a wood burning stove? There's an outlay of course, but it's renewable energy and very cost effective in terms of heating your space through the cooler months.

    My new lathe

Leptus, no problem. It is 3.9 x 5 metres. Not sure of what you need, but I think you could a lot worse than a decent kit cabin like this. No planning needed (within reason) and very easy to put up. You get a lot of space for your money and they are completely weatherproof. Give me a shout...

    My new lathe

Cheers for the tip Pete. I'm not sure I'll be able to bring myself to actually work in there, but it's a great place to sit and think ;)

    My new lathe

Cheers, it was built as a music room originally, but we never used it as such, more for storage, so when this lathe came up my lovey lady wife forced me to buy it :). I'm a lucky man. The only down-side is I now have to get the cabin rewired. Anyone go 30 metres of heavy armoured cable lying...

    My new lathe

Cheers Eugene. I might have to kip in there if MrsNoggsy finds out how much it all cost ;) Gary, the only answer to that is - buy a bigger lathe!

    My new lathe

Well, I just thought I would post to let you know that I have just bought an Apollo Professional lathe from a good friend (and mentor) who is upgrading. This came out of the blue and was only possible due to the very good price he has asked for the lathe. I knew that I had outgrown my little...

    Loose Chuck Check

I'm lucky in that I don't have any issues with the chucks that I have (K10, K8 and Multistar), but I have still read this entire thread, because this is what I love about this site...people trying to help and being interesting and informative whilst doing so. Nice one to all involved, I've...
