    Hammer N4400 bandsaw

Hi Devonwoody, I have recently purchased a N4400. As Chems said,it has a Cast iron table and is a big machine. Plenty of grunt with a 4HP motor as well. Can't answer your question re the mitre cutting as I have had no call to do this. What I can say is,it has performed admirably in what I have...

    Tiling - wet cutter ?

I have the Dewalt one D24000,very good bit of kit, expensive but has more than paid for itself. Very good at cutting mitred edges,so you dont have to use that horrendous plastic tile strip. If your job is a one off,why not hire one? Mark.

    Wealden spindle tooling

Hi people, Does anyone here use any of the spindle cutters from Wealdens? Looking at their prices they seem quite a bit cheaper than Whitehill, and I was wondering if the quality was as good? I have used their router bits before, and have found them to be very good and was hoping the same for...

    Any members in Norfolk??

Hi Ryan, I will second the heads up on Tim Collin. Funny enough I purchased a lot of Ash of him a few years ago,and he is a really nice guy,and very helpful. With regards to North Heigham sawmills,I think one of the reasons they have lost touch,is that when all the new health and safety rules...

    quick question....poll included

Jeff, sorry to hear of all your problems with your Felder combi. For what it is worth.when they delivered my Felder saw/spindle the engineer who done the commission, set mine up with a slight toe out on the fence. He said that was the way he was told to do it when he done his training at the...

    Hello from Felder

Hi Dave, and welcome to the forum. Was down at Milton Keynes last week picking up my AF22 dust extractor. Looks a serious bit of kit,and at 70kgs no lightweight! Plumbing it in today, need to change the 16 amp breaker to a 20 amp and then I'm away. Look forward to meeting you in the future,and...

    Cat doors in UPVC doors

Chris, Does your pvcu door have a midrail? eg.glass in the top half and the raised panel in the bottom? If it does, this is a straight forward fix,buy a replacement flat panel for the bottom and fix the cat flap. You should find that the panel is either 24mm or 28mm thick and is a easy job to...
